New House = Never Done Working

Hi everyone, it has been a good while since I last posted to the site, sorry, I will try better to not leave you hanging on to the edge of your seat so long in the future. We have been busy working on the house the last few months, lots of painting and deciding where stuff should go. The good news is we only have two rooms left to paint!!! We would still have a lot more if Nico's parents had not taken care of a big chunk of it for us. Thanks again. We also started our preparations for Christmas, by putting up our Christmas tree. Here is something that I learned when purchasing a tree, when you are looking at it in a building that has 40 ft ceilings it does not look that big when you put it up at your house you will ask yourself what was I thinking. (in the last picture in the slide show that is a 6ft ladder standing next to the tree) I hope everybody had a wonderful Thanksgiving and had plenty of things to be thankful for!! The slide show below shows some before and after pics of the house and the erection of our Christmas tree.

Our first Halloween in the new home

We are happy to say we were not egged or Teepeed. We made sure to have the "cool" candy:) We had about 50 trick or treaters. They were dressed as Iron man, superman or a princess. There were a few teenagers who just dressed as themselves:) Greg was the first to pass out candy. He learned that it would probably be a better idea if he hand them the candy rather then letting the kids scoop it out in big gobs themselves. Greg's little nephew Ethan was loving all the attention in his little orange onsie of course we were only able to keep it on for five minutes and had to change again:) Abby was jealous of him.

We hope everyone had a safe Holiday!
